Galatians.5:1, 4-6 (MSG)

1 “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery”.

 4-6 “I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace. Meanwhile we expectantly wait for a satisfying relationship with the Spirit. For in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love.”

Push Out into Deep Water

Have you noticed that God used many different things to accomplish his purposes? He used David’s sling, the jawbone of an ass to help Samson, an axe head, five loaves and two fishes, a cross and an empty tomb to mention a few things, He also used Peter’s boat.

I know that God can use you because you are like Peter’s boat mentioned in Luke 5:1-11
Peter’s boat was the scene of the miracle of a miraculous catch of fish

Luke 5:1-11 The Message (MSG)

^1-3 Once when he was standing on the shore of Lake Gennesaret, the crowd was pushing in on him to better hear the Word of God. He noticed two boats tied up. The fishermen had just left them and were out scrubbing their nets. He climbed into the boat that was Simon’s and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Sitting there, using the boat for a pulpit, he taught the crowd.

⁴ When he finished teaching, he said to Simon, “Push out into deep water and let your nets out for a catch.”

^5-7 Simon said, “Master, we’ve been fishing hard all night and haven’t caught even a minnow. But if you say so, I’ll let out the nets.” It was no sooner said than done—a huge haul of fish, straining the nets past capacity. They waved to their partners in the other boat to come help them. They filled both boats, nearly swamping them with the catch.

^8-10 Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell to his knees before Jesus. “Master, leave. I’m a sinner and can’t handle this holiness. Leave me to myself.” When they pulled in that catch of fish, awe overwhelmed Simon and everyone with him. It was the same with James and John, Zebedee’s sons, coworkers with Simon.

^10-11 Jesus said to Simon, “There is nothing to fear. From now on you’ll be fishing for men and women.” They pulled their boats up on the beach, left them, nets and all, and followed him.

All of the aforementioned did one thing outstanding and that was RELEASE. They all released whatsoever that was within them for the Master’s use.

Are you willing to release all unto Him today?

David released the sling and it killed Goliath,

Samson released the jawbone and it killed thousands,

The small kid released the five loaves of bread and two fishes and it fed thousands,

                                    

 

Peter released his boat for preaching and He caught many fish,

                                                                     

Jesus Christ released Himself and He won you and me into God’s Kingdom.

Your release is what will spurn God into action.

All He wants from you is your heart.

How far can you push your Boat for GOD’s Use? The further the boat goes, the bigger your catch becomes.

 

 

GIVE GOD YOUR TIME

 

Time is the heritage of every person. Whether rich or poor, a truck driver, a business tycoon or clerk, mind you, each of us has the same number of hours in a day. Many necessities and opportunities demand much of our day. I can simply say that our work takes up large percentage of our life. Being an husband or wife, father or mother, employer or employee requires time. How then do you utilize your time?

A survey conducted by me shows that majority sees FRIDAY's as a day in which all sorts of evil are being carried out more the working days.Evil (which the world call fun in terms of relaxation, going to parties/night clubs just to mention a few).

I am not saying that some relaxation are not good, but how best do we utilize the time that God gave to us?

I found out that majority of us are not utilizing God's given time well. Instead we use it to FULFILL LUST OF THE FLESH.

Let us check what the Psalmist said in the 90th Psalm. He prays that God would teach him, and others, to become good stewards with time. “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12). When it comes to the end of your life, your entire impact on this world will be boiled down to the one inch between the day you were born and the day that you died. The psalmist knew that life is relatively short against the span of God’s existence and eternity. “The length of our days is seventy years, or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.” (Psalm 90:10).

In a sense the psalmist, a man named Moses, asked God for the grace to allow him to “number his days” so that he could find the value in each day. Each day he wanted to “gain a heart of wisdom,” or as it says in the KJV, “that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.” Not only did he want to value each day that he had, he also wanted God to give him the wisdom to see the hand of God move each day. He was asking for the ability to discern the things of God, and in learning His will and ways, apply them to make his life better.

If Moses could ask God for instruction on how to use his time, then what about us this very FRIDAY that we tagged as THANK GOD IS FRIDAY?

I have heard this quote by someone that said, “We master our minutes, or we become slaves to them; we use time, or time uses us.”  let therefore look at what Apostle Paul said about Time in  Ephesians :15-16, paul reveals God’s expectation for us relating to time. “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”.

God has granted us the grace to get out of bed this today. Our hearts are still beatings. Our brains are still working. Despite how busy we may be, or make ourselves, God is asking for our times. remember Cain and Abel’s offerings were based on the “first fruit” principle, shouldn’t our use of time fall into that category as well?

Take a propal look at your life now. Are you too busy? Are you denying God the best that you can be? Are you robbing family and friends of you? Take a careful look at your life. Look at areas where you feel the wheel is spinning out of control. Ask God to give you the grace to “redeem your time” wisely. Ask Him to help you to “number your days aright.”

We have all been given 24 hours a day in which we live. Let us it wisely for God and not for "SELF". We are in this world as visitors and one day, return back unto Him that sent us. 

THANK GOD IS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!

 

Normally my mind is racing a mile a minute thinking about my next move, the future, this and that...but today I'm choosing to be still and focus on the now. This moment, Thanking God for it and thanking Him for having already gone before me to work out the next scene in my life........

 

CHANGE YOUR THINKING

You are what you believe that you are and you are what you say that you are……”As a man thinks in his heart, so will he become”.

What others say about you doesn’t matter, but what you say about yourself. Peoples word can only come into effective when you accept what is being said about you.

All that is needed is to change your thinking and those that you associate with. You need a new life so, change your thinking positively.

 

Read this quote from Patricia Omoqui, The Thought Dr. “LIVE YOUR PASSION.  Do things to bring about positive change.  Touch people with your smile and spirit.  Be a leader.  Have no fear. Pursue your dreams full throttle and the doors will open for you.”

The Great News is that Jesus is alive.

Three days before they had seen Him die and be buried, the followers had come to embalm Him, and worried how they would get to His body in the tomb.

These women knew that the tomb had been sealed by the Pharisees and Chief Priests. They also knew  guards had been posted in other to prevent His body being stolen.

How could they get to Jesus? was all their worry,
Oh, but when they got there, the very stone that they had put and which act as an hindrance against the RESURECTION had been rolled away. Guards  posted became as dead men from fear.

The angel of the Lord had rolled it away and was sitting on it (Ooops What an awesome act!!!!).

Had he done this for Jesus to get out? No!
Jesus is the Son of God, Emmanuel, God with us, the Creator. He (Jesus got out by Himself). Who could have stopped Him?. He does not need anybody's help mind you!).

The stone was simply moved away so that the disciples could get in and be a witness to the resurection power that Jesus had spoken of in John 10:18.

The sad thing is that most people have never experienced that power, they have never known the power of the risen Lord even though they had done all the fasting and reading of the sciptures about EASTER. Still, they do not have any personal relationship with JESUS HIMSELF (Pity I simply say...)

Let me pause for a while..............

Do you know Him or have you ever experiece that power of resurection?. If not, all that you need is simply accept him as LORD and SAVIOUR.

Do you say, as simple as that?........ Yes He made all things and all things came through Him. Confessing and obedience unto His words are all that is required in other to experience this awesome Presence and Power of our Lord Jesus. He is by your side calling you now...........

Harken, be save and be converted.

Easter season is all about sacrifice which means FREEDOM. Are you FREE?

Easter season is all about our GOD dying on the cross in exchange for our lives. It is necessary to allow that same life to dwell within your very Mind, Soul and Body. You might say, Life that is already dead?...I need to say that the very life that was certified dead by Humanly doctors and which was given in exchange for our life did RESURRECTED the very THIRD day of being in the grave (WHAT A MYSTERY!!!). Stone placed by the mouth of the grave was unable to hold Him captive and neither the Soliders that were stationed at the sepulcher were able to do like wise. He is RISEN from the DEAD.

If you are still in the depth of despair and in bondage of fear of death, it means you have not caught the revelation of the resurrected Jesus. If you are still a timid witness of Christ, it means that the risen Lord has not yet been revealed to you. However, all things changed dramatically when the risen Lord Jesus appeared to His disciples where they were hiding for the fear of the Jews, and “He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.” (Mark 16:14 NKJV). Why not allow this same Jesus into your life today and let go of all despair and bondage. He loves to deliever from all forms of oppression. Allow Him today and let FREEDOM BE YOURS FOREVER.
